Motivational speaker with the National Speakers Association of North Texas and minister Kenyon Glover has been ordered to stay away from a woman who claims he sexually abused her in northwest Louisiana.
A sexual assault claim against Texan Kenyon Glover in a damning lawsuit was heard by a judge in Shreveport, and subsequently an order of protection was issued against him.
The Texas Mail has learned that a lawsuit was filed against Glover in Caddo Parish accusing him of sexual assault and harassment.
In the suit, which was first reported by Caddo Parish Democrat via Shreveport Patch, the judge ordered Glover be restrained from committing further acts of abuse or threats of abuse or sexual assault.
The court ruling also bars Glover from the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force that would reasonably be expected to cause bodily injury, the report stated.
The suit falls under The Louisiana Uniform Abuse Prevention Order pursuant to L.R.S. 46:2181 et seq., non-intimate sexual assault, stating the protected person is related to the defendant as an acquaintance.
Glover, 45, a former NBA player for the Milwaukee Bucks, is also an IMDb accredited actor and producer who has worked on primetime roles, most notably as a cop on the CBS drama, “The Young and The Restless.”
According to multiple reports, the entertainment magnet operates a Spotify podcast entitled “Faithful & Focused Ministries,” and owns a “Fitness Beats Depression,” fitness brand.
Per the service mandated by the Caddo Parish Clerk of Court, Glover was served at a place of employment listed as PickUp USA Fitness in Coppell. Court records state that Glover now resides in Dallas.
The Honorable Michael A. Pitman, First Judicial District Court Judge and former Louisiana State University law professor, made the ruling granting court-ordered protection to the victim. Judge Pitman has built his reputation in the South Central region of North America as a former prosecutor in Caddo and Bossier parishes, prosecuting high profile felonies.
In his ruling, judge Pitman barred Glover from stalking, following, tracking, monitoring, or threatening the woman.
The prohibition also makes it so Glover is not to contact the victim by any means, including on social media, and is to remain 100 yards away from her vehicle, home, school, and work.
A representative for Glover did not respond to a request for comment.
